After breakfast, we head to the far south of Serengeti National Park, an area known as Ndutu. The Lake Ndutu region is located within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which is part of the southern Serengeti ecosystem. Lake Ndutu is alkaline, like most Rift lakes; however, its water is still drinkable and is used by a variety of local wildlife. From December to April, the majority of the wildebeest migration can typically be found on the short-grass plains. This area is also usually home to a large population of elephants, birds, and resident game.
The Ndutu Region forms part of the northern section of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, extending to the unfenced southern reaches of Serengeti National Park, making it a meeting point between these two remarkable wilderness areas. After lunch and an extensive game drive, we will head straight to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
You will spend three nights in Ndutu. After breakfast, we head to the far south of Serengeti National Park, an area known as Ndutu.
